With over 30 years as a management consultant and business executive, George brings to his clients the depth of experience and breadth of knowledge essential to assist companies in solving their complex business issues. Throughout his career, George has consulted with financial services companies of all sizes – from Fidelity Investments, PNC and Bank of Boston to community banks, small family offices and investment advisory businesses.
George is known for his calm, reasoned approach to assisting boards of directors and management through crises. His consulting is tailored to the strengths and needs of the client.
Millward Consulting LLC is a solo practice. Prior to forming this company in 2002, George held a number of executive positions in financial services companies, including a de novo bank -- Millennium Bank (founded in 1998) -- and Meridian Bank. He also was a member of KPMG during the 1990's and Coopers & Lybrand Consulting (now a part of IBM) from 1981 through 1992.
In addition, George has taught “Managing the Information Systems Function” for Moravian College’s MBA Program, and “Financial Management” at The University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business.
George holds an MBA in Finance and a Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning, both from the University of Iowa. He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors as well as several banking organizations including the Pennsylvania Bankers Association, the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers and the American Bankers Association. He has held a variety of leadership roles in community organizations and not-for-profit companies in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Iowa.
In addition, George is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants (“IMC”) serving as Treasurer of the Board of its Philadelphia Chapter. As a member of IMC, he subscribes to the code of ethics for management consultants worldwide.
